We're looking at two new Speyside releases from Woodrow's of Edinburgh.

We've got a big, bold sherry matured single cask Mortlach, released by Gordon & Macphail from a few years ago. 

As big Mortlach fans, we think the sweet spot is around 15 years old, so we're pitting a Diageo special release against a single sherry cask to see which shows the best of the beast of Dufftown.

We're seeing less independently bottled Mortlach hitting the shelves these days, so we're digging into two of the newest releases from Woodrows and Decadent Drinks to get our Mortlach fix.

Today we've got two IB's from the beast of Dufftown. Mortlach was one of the first distilleries we fell in love with, so we've got high hopes for these two.

Has the Pedro Ximenez finish has worked wonders on this mid teens SMWS Mortlach?
