In a sea of inaugural releases (both Scottish and worldwide), we're looking at a new Danish distillery to see if their quest to make high-quality, organic whisky has worked out.

Two casks from North Star Spirits, one fully matured in oloroso, the other only having a short finishing period. Will we prefer the sherry bomb, or will finish give better balance to the spirit?

We're picking up the final release in the 13th series of Bruichladdich's Octomore range, and adding it to our ranking of the other 3 bottlings.

We've got a comparison of teaspooned Laphroaigs, both single casks released by BBR. Does the clean bourbon cask win us over or will the moscatel finish give it the little bit extra we're looking for?
