It's always a treat to review these handpicked casks from Jim McEwan, so we're excited to see what the 6th release of his signature series holds...

Port Charlotte sister casks, both quite old, one in bourbon and one in sherry. We're excited to see how much impact the cask actually has on the end whisky.

We're looking at another two Laddies in a continuation of Dramfool's recent releases. Both 11 years old, it's a battle between first fill bourbon and first fill Rivesaltes.

Two single casks from Bruichladdich, both distilled shortly after the re-opening of  the distillery. One 20 years old, the other 10 years old. We can't think of a better way to spend an evening.

We're looking at a mid-teens and late-twenties set of Highland Parks to see if a little bit of age benefits the spirit.

We continue our look at the private casks of Jim McEwan, this time we focus on Octomore, both in bourbon, both around 11/12yo, let's see if they live up to Jim's reputation.
