It's always a pleasure to try single cask Ardbeg, and even more of a pleasure to try two of them side by side, a recent Whisky Sponge release and a '93 Cadenheads bottling.
Two Springbanks... do we really need to say more? Ok, fine.. one is 30 years old, the other is a 1st fill, fully matured oloroso single cask, bottled after 26 years.. we've got your attention now...
We respect the 5 year old age statement on Springbanks most recent society members release, and we're excited to see how this stands up to some of the more aged expressions.
We love young Laphroaig, so we're excited to try two single casks from two well respected independent bottlers - the Scotch Malt Whisky Society and Berry Bros & Rudd.
